Army chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday announced that Fajar, a physically-challenged girl in Lahore who had gone to cast her vote on election day, would be given a job through the Pakistan Army.


On July 25, the girl went out to cast her ballot and then later took to social media to encourage fellow citizens to follow suit.

After taking this video into consideration the armed forces announced that she is getting a job under the supervision of the army.

Director general of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor said, "Our nation needs more girls like Fajar."

The military's media wing spokesperson went on to say that she would also be given an opportunity to pursue further education.
