Netflix wants more 'Master of None' whenever 'Aziz Ansari is ready'

In January, Ansari was accused of sexual assault by a woman from Brooklyn

The Emmy-winning Netflix show, Master of None, has been on a standstill since its lead actor Aziz Ansari was accused of sexual harassment by a New York-based woman.

However, while there wasn't much hullabaloo surrounding Kevin Spacey's exit from House of Cards, it seems like Netflix isn't ready to close its doors on Ansari yet, reported Entertainment Weekly.

“We would be happy to make another season of Master of None when Aziz is ready,” Netflix programming executive Cindy Holland said in a press conference.

In January, Ansari was blamed for groping a 22-year-old woman, Grace, who only spoke up after he wore a 'Time’s Up' badge at the Golden Globes this year, reported Page Six. She said it brought back memories of him assaulting her in his apartment.

The woman, identified as a Brooklyn photographer reportedly visited Aziz’s apartment on the night of September 25, 2017. According to Grace, the two had met at an after-party the week before.

The actor previously released a statement that read, “In September of last year, I met a woman at a party. We exchanged numbers. We texted back and forth and eventually went on a date. We went out to dinner, and afterwards we ended up engaging in sexual activity, which by all indications was completely consensual."

Ansari continued, "The next day, I got a text from her saying that although ‘it may have seemed okay,’ upon further reflection, she felt uncomfortable. It was true that everything did seem okay to me, so when I heard that it was not the case for her, I was surprised and concerned."

The 33-year-old star said, "I took her words to heart and responded privately after taking the time to process what she had said. I continue to support the movement that is happening in our culture. It is necessary and long overdue."

While Netflix is waiting for Ansari's return, Spacey's previous show has entered its final season. When Holland was asked about the House of Cards premiere date, she responded, “I don’t have a date to announce. We are really proud of the show, I think it’s a fitting end. We always planned for season 6 to be the final season, and we are proud of what Robin [Wright], Michael [Kelly] and the entire cast has created.”
