Five charity workers gang-raped in India
Animal rights activist Meet Ashar pointed towards a marked rise in incidence of animal abuse. "People who are violent often start with animals as victims and then move on to humans. This case should, therefore, worry everyone," he said in a Facebook post.
"Such brutal acts of cruelty to animals are on the rise and all of us need to do our bit to reduce these crimes. Not only is this unacceptable because animals are harmed and brutally killed but such people are said to have a criminal mindset and oftentimes do not stop at hurting animals."
