PTI leads with 115 seats in NA: ECP

PML-N bags 64 seats, while PPP grabs 43

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Saturday announced unofficial results of all 841 national and provincial assemblies’ constituencies.

The ECP has received results of 270 National Assembly seats and 571 provincial assemblies’ seats. Punjab Assembly has 295 seats, Sindh 129, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) 97 and Balochistan 50.

Sharing details of parties’ positions, an ECP official said in all results of National Assembly seats, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was leading with 115 seats while Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) secured 64 seats and 43 seats, respectively.

Similarly, Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) secured 12, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) four, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) six, Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) four, Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) two, Awami Muslim League (AML) one,  Awami National Party (ANP) one, Tehreek-e-Insaniyat one,  Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) one while independent candidates secured 13 seats.

Though not simple majority, PTI gathers enough seats to form coalition govt at Centre

Punjab

As per the ECP data, former ruling party is in lead in the province with 129 seats while rival PTI bagged 123 seats. The independent candidates have won 28 seats, PML-Q seven, PPP six, while BAP and Pakistan Awami Raj have won one seat each.

K-P

PTI has retained its position with 66 seats, MMA got 10, ANP and independent candidates have six each, PML-N five while PPP four.

Sindh

PPP kept its stronghold with 76 seats, while PTI has won 23 seats, MQM-P obtained 16 seats, GDA 11, Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan two and MMA one.

Balochistan

In the Balochistan Assembly, BAP won 15 seats, MMA got nine, Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) six, PTI four, BNP-Awami three, Hazara Democratic Party two, ANP three, PML-N one, Jamhoori Watan Party one, Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party one, while independent candidates five.
