Daughter of the deceased governor of Punjab, Salmaan Taseer tweets in the wake of Balochi women's polls
LAHORE: The recent tweet by daughter of the deceased governor of Punjab, Salmaan Taseer, in the wake of Balochi women turning up at polling stations in massive numbers explains why not much has changed for the less-privileged Pakistanis. Sara, who hails from an influential political family of Punjab, makes up for one such reason. It is unfortunate for the nation that its leaders who — often away from the country — make decisions for the future of the nation don’t believe in the power of the conscience of the people who choose them.
Quite unsurprisingly, many among the Pakistani elites share Sara’s views, that are demeaning, degenerating and against basic humanistic values of kindness and compassion.
