Indian actor Emraan Hashmi, mostly known for his explicit Bollywood film scenes, has been roped in for the lead role of upcoming Netflix show The Bard of Blood.
The political multilingual thriller is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, the production label of superstar Shah Rukh Khan, reported Variety.
The Bard of Blood is set in the Indian subcontinent and tells the story of an ousted spy, played by Hashmi. His new life sees him as a Shakespeare professor but his role as a spy is soon revised to save his country and former love.
