ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan’s amnesty scheme, which is meant to bring undeclared assets held in foreign countries under the tax net, provides an opportunity to those who have been unable to declare how these assets were purchased. All Pakistani citizens, who bought assets abroad, have less than a week left to declare their moveable and immovable assets, said a senior government official. Speaking to the media in Dubai, Talha Aziz, Staff Officer to Chairperson of the Federal Board of Revenue, said the initiative had been taken by parliament and was backed by the Supreme Court, hence, no one could question the declaration and it could not be challenged in any court.
