SARGODHA: Three people were killed in separate incidents in Sargodha on Friday.

A man was strangled to death over a family dispute in Bhagtanwala police limits. Police said that Amir Ali, a resident of Lalluwali village, regularly argued with his wife Fatima Bibi about his daughter’s engagement.

Two killed in separate incidents

On the day of the incident, Fatima, along with two other unidentified accomplices, strangled Ali to death as he lay sleeping. Police have handed the deceased’s body over to the family after conducting an autopsy. Police also arrested Fatima Bibi and have started investigations.

Meanwhile, two young men drowned in separate incidents in Jhal Chakian and Phulerwan police limits. Police stated that 15-year-old Ali Nawaz, a ninth grade student and a resident of Dherema village, was bathing in Lower Jhelum canal, when he ventured into deep water and drowned.

Separately, 25-year-old Shahzad, a resident of Phulerwan, drowned in a local canal on Thursday. Rescue 1122 succeeded in recovering Nawaz’s body. Shahzad’s body has not yet been recovered, police added.
