Reckless driving claims 18 lives in Lahore during Ramazan
As many as 352 victims, who sustained minor injuries, were discharged on the spot after the provision of first aid by emergency medical teams.
As many as 381 drivers, 24 underage drivers, 102 pedestrians and 394 passengers were among the victims of these road traffic crashes.
The statistics showed that 177 RTCs were reported in the Lahore Control Room, which affected 193 people placing the provincial capital at the top of the list followed by 79 in Faisalabad with 92 victims and then Multan with 63 RTCs and 67 victims.
The details further revealed that 877 victims were affected in road traffic crashes, including 698 males and 179 females, while the age group of the victims shows that 133 were under 18 years of age, 507 were between 18 and 40 years and rest of the 137 victims were reported to be above 40 years of age.

The data showed that 635 motorcycles, 114 auto rickshaws, 77 cars, 36 vans, nine buses, 24 trucks and 84 other types of vehicles and slow-moving carts were involved in the road accidents.
