GUJRANWALA: Pakistan Wafaqul madaris Nazim-e-Ala Qari Hanif Jalandhari has said they would launch a country-wide protest if the government would not stop its raids on seminaries. He was speaking at a protest rally in Gujranwala on Thursday. Qari Hanif Jalandhari said police had recently broken into a women seminary in Gujranwala and harassed the women. He said if the police suspected someone of involvement in illegal activities, he would himself hand that person over to the police. But, he said, breaking into the seminaries and desecrating them would not be tolerated.
