Football: Juve sign full-back Ziegler

Ziegler is Juve’s second free transfer signing of the close season having also picked up Italian Andrea Pirlo.

ROME: Juvenus continued their rebuilding programme by signing Swiss full-back Reto Ziegler on a free transfer. The 25-year-old Swiss international, formerly of Tottenham, signed a four-year deal. He was out of contract with relegated Sampdoria, whom he joined in 2007. Ziegler is Juve’s second free transfer signing of the close season having also picked up Italy midfielder Andrea Pirlo, who had been released by AC Milan.
