PESHAWAR: A worker of Qaumi Watan Party (QWP), who happened to be cousin of the party’s candidate in one of the city’s constituencies, was killed after an armed clash with activists of Awami National Party (ANP) on Wednesday.

The victim, identified as Sheraz Khan son of Kifayat Ullah, received bullet wounds after ANP workers reportedly resorted to firing following the scuffle in Shabqadar area of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa capital.

Sporadic incidents of violence reported as polling concludes

Sheraz was the first cousin of QWP candidate in PK-60 Babar Ali Khan.

He was rushed to the Lady Reading Hospital, but succumbed to his wounds later on.
