Illegal weapons market in DG Khan

Behran Khan revealed that the armaments used in the Sakhi Sarwar attack had been bought from this market.

DG KHAN: A market of stolen items including modern weaponry had been found in the tribal areas of Zinda Peer and Fazila Kach of Dera Ghazi Khan.

During investigation into the Sakhi Sarwar blast, the apprehended master mind, Behran Khan revealed that the armaments used in the attack had been bought from this market.

According to sources, weapons from this area are also sold in different areas of the country,

Commandant border military police, Wali Muhammad Khan said the decision on taking action against smuggling weapons will be taken in an inter provincial meeting.

The Sakhi Sarwar shrine was attacked last month, where in 50 people died and over a hundred injured. An investigation into the incident led to 11 suspects being arrested who had planned the attack in the Bajaur tribal district. Initial investigations that around five people belonging to the TTP were involved in the attack including two suicide bombers, one of whom was caught alive due to the vest malfunctioning.
