Police recovered illegal weapons from the possession of five suspects

RAWALPINDI: Police on special directive of City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Abbas Ahsan on Thursday night launched special combing operations in Gujar Khan, Murree and Kalar Syedan and adjoining areas. Heavy police contingents, lady police and several senior police officers under the supervision of Superintendent Police (SP) Saddar Division, Ali Raza conducted combing operations in different areas.

According to a police spokesman, police recovered illegal weapons from the possession of five suspects, while a criminal record holder was also sent behind bars during the operations. He informed that the operations were conducted using biomatric and special android devices.

The police inspected a large number of houses and checked hundreds of suspects while Gujar Khan Police arrested four suspects namely Jamat, Muhammad Waqas, Sajid Dar and Akmal Baig and recovered four pistols and 15 bullets.
