The accountability watchdog's spokesperson said the PML-N leader did not appear due to his election engagements and said that he shall appear after the polls on July 25.
Muqam is accused of possessing expensive property in the major urban centers of the country, for having several bank accounts and precious agricultural land. He has been asked to appear before NAB and explain the sources of his wealth, an official told The Express Tribune.

"Amir Muqam’s wealth and luxury lifestyle don’t match his known income and that is why he has been summoned," added the spokesman.
NAB has also initiated a complaint verification process against another PML-N leader and deposed prime minister Nawaz's son in law Capt (retd) Safdar.
On July 17, former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif ignored NAB's summon in a case against illegal appointments in the Punjab Power and Development Company (PPDC).
