The trailer of Mehwish Hayat and Fahad Mustafa's Load Wedding is out and boy, is the three-minute clip a roller coaster ride!

'Load Wedding' teaser is out and it's bursting with colours!

The first thing you notice is the splash of colour and upbeat tone of the film. The trailer commences by showing Raja's  (Fahad) childhood infatuation with Meerab (Mehwish), whom he lovingly calls 'Meeru.' Cue the plot twist: the duo can't get hitched until Raja's sister Baby is married off first.

Raja's mother, portrayed by evergreen Samina Ahmed, is a quintessential desi aunty who refuses to let her son get married before her daughter.

As the trailer continues, we see Meeru reject Raja for perhaps delaying the proposal, which makes him attempt suicide. However, after that, the dynamics between the couple seems to change drastically.

Load Wedding promises to be a full-throttle blockbuster with plenty of emotional drama, comedy, action, music and of course, an attempt to call out the stigmas attached to weddings and marriage in Pakistani society.

However, the trailer goes on to reveal a bit too much, if you ask us. It's easy to add two and two and assume that Baby probably gets divorced after her wedding which, again, might cause further delay in Raja's wedding.

It also shows the hero's brush with the law, Meeru's agony and Baby's struggle with weight-loss and the fat-shaming that ensues with that. Oh, and there is a fake Aamir Liaquat in the film as well!

The trailer has been getting praises for its relatable storyline. Bollywood director Onir gave a shoutout to the makers and wrote:

Produced by Fizza Ali Meerza and Nabeel Qureshi, Load Wedding will hit cinemas this Eidul Azha, alongside Parwaaz Hai Junoon and Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2.
