LAHORE:
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has taken another wicket of Pakistan Peoples' Party (PPP) on Tuesday, as its National Assembly candidate for NA-124, Chaudhry Zaheer, announced joining the party and supporting its candidates in the constituency.

PTI Senator Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said his party does not have the support of any institution, including ‘khalai makhlooq'. PTI will come into power with the public vote and PTI chief Imran Khan will be the next prime minister of Pakistan, he said.

He was speaking in a joint press conference held on Tuesday. Shafqat Mehmood and Chaudhry Zaheer were also present on the occasion.

PTI unveils ambitious development road map

Sarwar underscored PTI wanted a level playing field for all parties in elections and always supported free and fair polls in the country. He highlighted that all surveys were coming in his party's favour as nobody could support corrupt people.

"Those who believe in public service are joining PTI after leaving Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and PPP. Nobody can stop the fall of PML-N and PPP and their leadership is responsible for the situation. Both parties looted Pakistan that's why neither their leaders and workers nor general public is supporting them in the upcoming elections," he said.

Sarwar said PTI will solve basic public problems after winning general elections on July 25. Those who were talking about ‘khalai makhlooq' were unaware of the facts on the ground. He said nobody could defeat development and public welfare. PTI has done exemplary works in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) and people of K-P would express their confidence in the PTI on July 25 by giving more votes to the party. PTI would also constitute governments at both national and Punjab level, he added.

He pointed out though there are big challenges ahead for the upcoming government, PTI has a team of professionals under the leadership of Imran Khan who is capable enough to put the country on the track of development and prosperity. "The party has already given a comprehensive programme for first 100 days of the government. Now on July 25, after winning general elections PTI will start implementing its first 100 days agenda."

In south Punjab, disgruntled PPP leaders fear party ‘baggage’

Speaking to the media, PTI senior leader Shafqat Mehmood said the former ruling party had always won elections by rigging but it is making false allegations about the role of ‘khalai makhlook' in upcoming elections. They are making such false allegations because they have seen their defeat in upcoming elections and the nation is standing behind the PTI.

Speaking on the occasion, Zaheer underlined that the PPP has deviated from its manifesto. “PTI under the leadership of Imran Khan is fighting to end corruption from the country,” he said.
