KARACHI: I would want to draw the attention of the authorities concerned towards the increasing car accidents in Karachi. These accidents are now a daily occurrence due to the massive traffic overload and poor traffic management across the city. Alongside traffic management, licences are easily issued to non-eligible persons. The deputy commissioner of the city must draw up a comprehensive plan to improve the traffic situation. The law pertaining to helmet should also be strictly enforced. The traffic police should be encouraged to perform their duty with honesty and efficiency. Lastly, the government should take immediate action to reduce road accidents and thus help save precious lives.
