BERLIN:
Aldo Costa, Ferrari’s Technical Director, has called it quits following a difficult start to the season. The 2011 car has failed in many areas especially in the aerodynamic department. The team, which has been struggling to close the gap with Red Bull and McLaren since the first race, suffered another setback as Fernando Alonso was lapped by reigning champion Sebastian Vettel. The team’s press release revealed that Costa, who had been in the role since the end of 2007, has decided to step down.
