Detonation of a 100 nuclear warheads

If 100 nuclear warheads are detonated it will result in five megatons of black carbon entering the atmosphere

KARACHI: If 100 nuclear warheads are detonated it will result in five megatons of black carbon entering the atmosphere immediately. The black carbon will absorb the heat reaching the earth. Chemical reaction will eat away the earth’s ozone layer; ultraviolet radiation will increase by 80-120% than previously. Over a period of time, earth’s temperature will be reduced to -25 degrees centigrade; the reduction in temperature of the earth’s surface reduces the frequency of rain fall. After a two-year span, there will be no vegetation and two billion people will starve to death, and most of the earth will be extremely inhospitable due to extreme radiation, thus resulting in increased cases of skin cancer among the population globally. After 10 years, 8% of the ozone layer will be reduced, and plants will begin to grow at a very slow rate. The result of the detonation of 100 nuclear warheads could be fatal. There are 16,000 warheads across the globe, imagine the disaster brought upon us by the detonation of 16,000 warheads. The facts stated above are to sketch a picture of the disastrous consequences of global warming and the arms’ race the world has engaged in.
