The former prime minister and his daughter were taken to the Adiyala Jail in Rawalpindi
KARACHI: On the night of July 14th, millions were glued to their TV screens to see the “homecoming” of the former prime minister and his daughter, as the two were taken to the Adiyala Jail in Rawalpindi. A couple of options for a relatively safe exit are still open for Sharifs, including the right to appeal in the court against the judgment, but what cannot be erased off the memory of the nation is the ‘humiliation’ that comes along. Certainly, Pakistani politicians have had a history of jail terms, but what’s more important is their courage to make their way back to power.
