Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday said that external forces with the assistance of the people in the country want to destroy peace in Pakistan and cancel the upcoming general elections.

Addressing a public gathering at Swabi, Khan condemned the Mastung blast and said, “Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) candidate Siraj Raisani was a patriotic politician.”

He said that some people advised him to cancel the upcoming activities since his life was in danger and the terrorist can target him. “If I cancelled this gathering, who will benefit,” he asked the public.  “Pakistan’s enemies never want to uplift this country, but we will spoil their ambitions,” he added.

The PTI chairman said that Shehbaz Sharif betrayed Nawaz Sharif to remove hurdles and control the party leadership with Hamza Sharif. “Nawaz has been played by his own brother Shehbaz who urged him to come back and assured him that thousands of people will receive him from the airport,” Khan said adding “Shehbaz had hidden in his van at night.”

Khan said that Shehbaz will also be in Adiala Jail with his brother after July 25 elections when he comes into power.  He criticised the people who came on roads to welcome Nawaz Sharif. “They were conscienceless people because they do not see that how many people in the country are living miserable lives due to the corruption of these robbers who looted public money,” he added.

The PTI chairman claimed that all his assets are in Pakistan and he does not have single penny outside the country. He accused Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Asif Ali Zardari of being involved in massive corruption and looting public money.

Khan said that Zardari is involved in a Rs35 billion money laundering case and criticised Nawaz Sharif and Zardari for hiring ineffective people on responsible seats to collect public money in illegal ways. He informed his supporters that the foreign loans have increased from Rs6 trillion to Rs27 trillion in the last ten years due to corruption.

The PTI chairman criticised Awami National Party (ANP) and Jamiat Ulema-e Islam-F (JUI-F) as they were part of these central governments and did not raise their voice against injustices with the poor people.

He also criticised Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) for using the name of Islam to get votes from the people. “They did nothing for Islam when they were in power,” he added.  Khan said PTI has made education relating to the Quran and it translation compulsory, eliminated the interest-based financial system, and raised its voice against drone attacks.

PTI Swabi Chapter leadership and former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) speaker Assad Qaiser, Shahram Khan Tarakai and other leaders addressed the crowd.

Khan also addressed a huge public gathering at Mardan and motivated people to vote for PTI candidates for a new Pakistan.

He said that PTI has done historic work in K-P in the fields of education and health, brought police reforms, and planted over one billion trees.

He said that Sindh and Punjab are also demanding local bodies systems akin to K-P and reforms in the police system. Khan said that the PPP leaders bred criminals and killers like Rao Anwar.

The PTI chairman said that 45 per cent of Pakistani children have stunted growth as they are victims of malnutrition. PTI’s Mardan-based political leaders including former K-P education minister Muhammad Atif Khan and former MNA Ali Muhammad Khan also addressed the gathering.
