Shahi Syed says ANP will contest elections at any cost

KARACHI:
The Awami National Party (ANP) will not leave the ground and will contest the general elections come what may.

ANP Sindh President Shahi Syed said this on Thursday while addressing a condolence reference for the martyrs of Peshawar blast at Bacha Khan Markaz. According to Syed, the party had faced difficult times in the past as well and it was prepared to face similar challenges at present.


Karachi arch-rivals to work together in polls

Thousands of party workers had sacrificed their lives for the cause of the party, Syed said. He added that the ANP will resume its election campaign from Friday.

ANP workers and leaders of other political parties, including Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Pakistan Peoples Party and others, participated in the reference. The participants recited Quran for the departed souls and prayed for their peace.
