LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is a national institution; I have appeared before the bureau to uphold the supremacy of this institution, said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Senior Leader Abdul Aleem Khan.

He expressed these views while addressing the media outside the NAB office on Thursday. Everybody should be questioned about offshore companies, adding that he was not in possession of any such companies.

Responding to a query, Khan said that the masses were fully aware about the corrupt leaders and will reject them in the upcoming elections. “The July 25 election result will decide the future of the country, it will set a new economic direction for the nation,” he expressed.

Shehbaz Sharif has called me a land grabber but has never been able to present any evidence against me during his decade long tenure as the chief minister of Punjab, he added. He challenged Sharif to provide evidence of this alleged land grabbing.

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz is currently facing defeat. Shehbaz will have to face the music for the 56 companies, he said.

Regarding the arrest of the political workers, the PTI leader said that nobody should be arrested. The issues should be resolved by conducting dialogue with the local administration. “In the past, PTI workers have never burned tyres or disrupted law and order”, he claimed.
