Selena Gomez reacts to Justin Bieber, Hailey Baldwin engagement

Gomez and Bieber dated on and off since 2010, most recently calling it quits in March

Justin Bieber has finally found his happily ever after since popping the question to model Hailey Baldwin, a month after reconciling. Rumous regarding the couple’s engagement recently made headlines and everyone was keen on finding out how Bieber's on-again, off-again girlfriend, Selena Gomez, would react to the news - and she finally has!

Gomez and Bieber have been rumoured to be dating each other since 2010, before calling it quits in March this year. After news broke of Bieber and Baldwin's engagement over the weekend, Gomez was spotted enjoying herself on a yacht with her closest friends.

A source close to Gomez told told E! News, "Selena was surprised that the engagement was so sudden but the fact that Justin would be so hasty didn't seem to bother her as she knows the type of person he is. At the end of the day, she doesn't really care. Selena is totally over him. She had tried to make it work the last time but it didn't work out."

The insider continued that Gomez is in a much better place now as Bieber is out of the picture. It added, "Mentally, she is done with him. She isn't focused on dating as much as she's just focusing on herself. She's happy right now spending time with her girlfriends and going to church."

Another source revealed that Gomez is putting her relationship with Bieber "in the past." While she was "very shocked" to hear about the engagement, she ultimately "doesn't care."

"Selena knows that Justin makes rash decisions but wishes them both the best," the second informed. "Justin is no longer a topic of conversation in her life."

The Sorry singer took to Instagram and wrote a loving testimony to Baldwin, saying he is "completely committed to spending his life" with the 21-year-old model.

Bieber wrote, “I was going to wait a while to say anything but word travels fast. Listen plain and simple, Hailey. I am so in love with everything about you! So committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you, loving you patiently and kindly."

He further promised to lead his family with honour and integrity. “My heart is completely and fully yours and I will always put you first! You are the love of my life, Hailey Baldwin. I wouldn’t want to spend it with anybody else. You make me so much better,” penned the 24-year-old artist.

Apart from Gomez and now Baldwin, Bieber has been romantically linked with many other famous young women such as models Sofia Richie and Ashley Moore.
