Land dispute: 2 killed, 4 injured over irrigation water

GUJRANWALA: Two people were killed and four were injured in a family dispute in the Kot Deval village on Tuesday.

According to police officials, brothers Javed and Khalid and their accomplices attacked and shot their brother Muneer Ahmed while he was asleep.

The accused also killed their nephew Nasir Ali. Police officials said that initial reports indicated the incident occurred due to a dispute over water distribution for agrarian land. Four people including Adeel, Sughran Bibi, Musharaf Bibi and Sumera received bullet wounds and were shifted to a nearby hospital.

Alipur Chattha police sent the bodies to hospital for an autopsy and have started an investigation.
