LeT militant killed in Indian Kashmir: Police

Militant was described as deputy commander of LeT.

JAMMU, INDIA: Indian security forces have killed a senior Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant in a gunfight in the disputed region of Kashmir, police said on Tuesday.

The militant was described as a deputy commander of LeT, a militant group blamed by India for the 2008 siege in Mumbai in which 166 people were killed.

Police said the man, known as Amir Khan, was shot on Monday night.

Security forces on Tuesday launched an operation to find two other militants who escaped from the scene in Poonch district, close to the de facto frontier with Azad Kashmir.

You may term them as Freedom fighters....but to world they might be something different......!!!!

What about "Mukti Bahni" that India made to break Pakistan in 1971....??? What about Baluch rebels who are being funded by Indians/ RAW...??? What about Hyderabad Deccan which wanted to join Pakistan but you forcefully usurped in 1948....??? What about Junagadh and Manawadar...again usurped by India...?? An Indian | 13 years ago | Reply @the great khan: Really, then why not Taliban also a freedom fighter and also who have killed navy commandos and brought shame to the nation.....the meaning of freedom struggle is struggle by the people of the land and not the foreign mercenaries imported just because they share common religion.
