Sindh education department on Wednesday decided to extend summer vacations till July 31, Express News reported.
Education Secretary Alia Shahid finalised the summary for the extension of summer vacations.
The summary will be sent to caretaker Chief Minister Fazlur Rehman for the final go ahead after caretaker Education Minister Sadia Rizvi's approval.
Education dept directed to tell schools to help vaccinate children
According to the education secretary, reasons behind the extension pertain to the ongoing election activities and public school teachers' engagement in the upcoming polls.
Earlier, the Sindh education department rescheduled the summer vacations from May 15 to July 15 instead of June 1 to July 31.
