Long-awaited Tupac biopic set for 2017 release
Tupac's murder has been linked to various conspiracies such as corruption by the Los Angeles Police Department, bitter dispute between record labels and the killing of rival rapper Biggie Smalls in 1997. Many have claimed that Tupac is not actually dead and living in Cuba.
A few hours before he was killed, Tupac and his entourage got into a fight with a gang member Orlando Anderson. The Gangsta Party singer punched Orlando first. Later, police identified Orlando as the person who killed Tupac.
However, months before the release of the Netflix documentary, Orlando's uncle Keefe D said on camera, "I was a Compton kingpin, drug dealer, I’m the only one alive who can really tell you the story about the Tupac killing."
Keefe continued that people have been pursuing him for 20 years but he has decided to finally speak up as he is now suffering from cancer and wants the truth to be revealed. He then explained that his nephew was badly beaten when they went to look for the late singer.
He mentioned that he was in the company of three people when he went to find Tupac. These included Terrence 'T-Brown' Brown who was driving the Cadillac, DeAndre 'Dre' Smith and Orlando in the back seat as Keefe himself sat on the passenger seat.
Upon finding Tupac, Keefe with his accomplices reportedly took a U-turn and parked their car parallel to Tupac's. However, on camera, Keefe refused to disclose the name of the person who pulled the trigger. He said that it was a "street code" but revealed that the gun was fired from the back seat.
In a taped confession, Keefe revealed that Orlando fired at Tupac. He said that he first gave the gun to Dre but he refused to use it, which is when Orlando took over. "He rolled down the window and popped bullets," said Keefe.
Tupac broke up with Madonna over race, reveals letter
Orlando had denied murdering the legendary rapper. However, he himself was killed in 1998 after a shootout in Los Angeles. No one has been charged with Tupac's murder to this day.
