HYDERABAD: The Sindh High Court Sukkur bench has ordered the nomination of former Pakistan Peoples Party MPA Nawab Sardar Khan Chandio and his brother Burhan Khan Chandio in the FIR of the January 17 triple murder case in Dadu district. During a hearing on Friday, the SHC also cancelled the protective bail of Sardar Khan and Burhan Khan.

The order was given by the bench comprising Justice Salahuddin Panhwar and Justice Adnan Chaudhry. The development comes after Advocate Ume Rubab Chandio, daughter of one the slain persons, briefed Chief Justice Saqib Nisar during his recent visit to Sukkur and Larkana districts.

The CJP had ordered the Anti-Terrorism Court to decide the case within two months. Union Council chairman Raees Karamullah Chandio and his two sons, Mukhtiar and Qabil, were shot dead in an armed attack on their house on January 17 in Ahmed colony of Mehar taluka, Dadu.

The former MPA Sardar Khan and Burhan Khan were among the accused nominated in the FIR registered at A-Section police station on the complaint of Pervez Ahmed Chandio, Karamullah's son. However, the police did not arrest them.

The investigation was handed over to former SSP Hyderabad Peer Muhammad Shah.
