ISLAMABAD:
Punjab Minister for Agriculture, Food, Planning and Development Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan said on Saturday Pakistan was passing through a critical phase, therefore, the business community should play its positive role. Speaking to the business community at the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), he said the nation in the habit of spending more than they could earn had no future, stated a press release. The minister emphasised that tax culture must be improved for which collectors as well as taxpayers would have to realise their responsibilities, change their attitude and stop harassing taxpayers. “Reduction in the tax rate is necessary to improve tax culture and collections,” he said, adding many countries introduced tax amnesty schemes, but its success depended on the motive.
