He said that most of the roads in the city have been reconstructed, but some streets and lanes have overflowing gutters and carters. "I want all these dilapidated roads and gutter systems to be fixed before polling day," he said.

"We [the caretaker setup] want to ensure a good atmosphere across the province when polling starts," he commented.

The mayor assured the CM that he would ensure proper maintenance of roads and drainage system and also coordinate with other local bodies for cleanliness and repair work in the city.

He informed the CM that the cleaning work of nullahs has started and will be complete within the next few days. "This will develop an impact over the disposal of waste water in the city," the mayor said.
