Deposed premier Nawaz Sharif warned on Thursday that if 'sinister games' didn't stop, the consequences will be disastrous, Express News reported.

Speaking to journalists in London, the former prime minister said that the disqualification of PML-N's stalwarts Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Daniyal Aziz was disheartening. Only the PML-N is being targeted, no other political force of politician is being victimised, he said

Pakistan was dismembered in 1971 because of such  machinations, he said. Commenting on the arrest of Qamarul Islam of PML-N, Nawaz said this was tantamount of pre-poll rigging as Islam has been fielded by the party against Chaudhry Nisar.

The PML-N supremo said that results could be catastrophic if this doesn't stop. He further directed party leaders to support Islam's children and ensure that the mandate of the people was respected.
