The workers, displeased with Noman Qaiser's candidature for the NA-124 constituency, demanded that it be awarded to Muhamad Khan Madni, who they say bagged 40,000 votes against Hamza Shehbaz in 2013 elections. They have been gathering outside Imran's Zaman Park residence raising the slogans of "we want justice."
Disgruntled PTI workers continue protest outside Bani Gala
In another incident, PTI's provincial president for south Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan's car was also stopped midway when he was to visit PTI chief's residence for a meeting. Aleem listened to the grievances of the workers and assured them of redressing those. He then went on to meet Imran for four hours.
Meanwhile, in Multan, workers staged a sit-in outside Qureshi’s residence. They burnt tires and raised slogans against the PTI leader.
On June 19, PTI workers protested outside Imran's Bani Gala residence. Enraged by the issuance of election tickets allegedly sans merit, the protesters asserted that the candidates who lived in the constituency be nominated instead.
