MUZAFFARABAD: Ambassador of Switzerland Mr Thomas Kolly on Wednesday called on Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary Wahidud Din at his office.

The Chief Secretary explained the envoy about the latest situation in ‘Indian Occupied Kashmir’ with particular reference to the gross violation of the human rights in the held territory.

He said that the Indian occupation forces are committing worst state terrorism against the non-combatant civilians in the occupied valley and are using worst kind of coercion to silence the voice of Kashmiris for their democratic right to self-determination.

The secretary said that people of AJK have full freedom and democratic rights in line with the resolutions of United Nations but same is not available to the enslaved population living on the other side of the Line of Control.

“India is reluctant to grant Kashmiri people their right to decide their future promised to them in the United Nation Resolution and, thus violating the UNSC resolutions with disdain,” Wahidud Din said.

Chief Secretary, Wahid-Ud-Din called upon the civilized nation of the world to play their role in granting Kashmiri people their right to self-determination.  He emphasized that goal of the peace and stability in South Asia cannot be achieved without peaceful settlement of Kashmir issue in just and fair manner.
