Eight killed in separate incidents in Faisalabad

Rescue workers shifted the injured to the hospital for treatment

FAISALABAD:
At least eight people were killed in different incidents in the district during the past 12 hours.

Police stated that 55-year-old Bilqees Bibi, a resident of Chak No 66-JB Dhandra, was killed after a speeding trailer collided with a bus on Gojra Road.

Meanwhile, 7-year-old Umme Zahra, daughter of Sajid, was killed when a trailer ran into a motorcycle at Sheikhupura road.

In another incident, Muhammad Ali of Chak No 410-GB was killed when two rival groups clashed over a marriage dispute, while unidentified assailants shot and killed Ghulam Ali of Sultani Chowk while he was headed home.


Further, 3-year-old Noor Fatime, daughter of Wajid, drowned in a canal near Chak No 94-RB, while a man named Abu Bakar shot and killed his brother’s girlfriend after an argument.

Also, 40-year-old Barkat Ali, and Tariq were killed while 17 others were injured when a speeding van hit a barricade on Sitiana Road.

The injured included Jameela Bibi, Anwar Bibi, Rehan, Shumaila, Majeedan Bibi, Noor Fatima, Imtiaz, Haneef, Sanwal Shehbaz, Akram,  Yasmeen, Qasim, Rizwan, Usman, Razia Bibi, Zahid and Muhammad  Hussain. Rescue workers shifted the injured to the hospital for treatment.
