Promoting culture: Photo exhibit at Malakand University

PESHAWAR: A photo exhibition was held at Malakand University where artists displayed paintings and photos depicting the rich art, culture and civilization of Pakthun society. The exhibition was organised by the Tourism Corporation of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) in collaboration with Knowledge Transparency. Artists and photographers from across K-P participated. Students of the university also participated in the exhibition. In the photo exhibition, first prize was clinched by Ehsan Danish while Ihsanullah Khan won second and Jawad Iqbal secured third position. For painting, Asad Khan obtained first position, Uzma Lasani came second and Nasir Khan came third. Asad Khan said he got inspiration from the work of renowned artist Ismail Guljee and Sadequain and vowed to become an artist in future.
