Pasanni Village buries young tourists

Five people were killed and 10 others severely injured

PESHAWAR: It was a sad day for the closely knit community in Pasanni Village, on the outskirts of Peshawar, where they buried three young boys who had died in car crash in Azad Jammu Kashmir.

These three were among 15 youngsters who had booked a vehicle to go on a tour of AJK after Eid. However, on their way back, the car plunged into a ravine near Muzaffarabad.

Five people were killed and 10 others severely injured. Locals stated that the families got information from different sources including police after calls were made from mobile phones of injured people adding that the injured persons were still being treated with one currently driven back home.

“We have received information on five deaths including four from Pasanni Village,” Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Youth Councilor Sajid Nawaz told The Express Tribune adding that funeral prayers for three persons will be held at 7 pm today [Friday].

Taxi drivers in the area stated that condition of the vehicle was unsatisfactory and it should not have been rented out.
