Punjab clinched the National Bodybuilding Championship 2011 while Wapda athletes won the departmental event to finish on top.
Punjab grabbed four gold, one silver and four bronze medals and finished ahead of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa who won one gold, two silver and one bronze medal. Sindh bagged one gold medal to finish third.
Meanwhile, Wapda swept the inter-departmental competition, snaring gold medals in all the seven events. Police stood second while Army finished third in the event.
Wapda’s Ali Imran Shah, who won the 85-kg category, said that the competition provided him with good preparation ahead of the South Asian Bodybuilding Championship.
