Amnesty Scheme: Bodies ask for extension in deadline
KCCI and ABAD advised the government to extend the deadline for amnesty scheme 2018 by at least one to two months
KARACHI:
The Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD) have advised the government to extend the deadline for amnesty scheme 2018 by at least one to two months so that maximum number of individuals could benefit from this scheme. “With hardly nine days left and the last three days falling on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, those individuals intending to declare foreign assets under amnesty scheme will not be able to do so because of limited time,” said KCCI President Mufassar Malik. Meanwhile, ABAD Chairman Arif Yousuf Jeeva has also requested the government to extend the dates since the amnesty scheme has only become attractive after Supreme Court has given green signal.
