Countries to take trade to $500m 

During the talks, the two sides agreed to further strengthen relations in diverse areas

DUSHANBE: Pakistan and Tajikistan on Tuesday agreed to further strengthen their relations by taking measures in order to raise annual bilateral trade to $500 million, immediately revive air links and implement the Casa-1,000 electricity supply project. The two sides reached an agreement in that regard during talks between Pakistan President Mamnoon Hussain and Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon at the State Guest House. Hussain, who was in Dushanbe on a four-day visit, held one-on-one and delegation-level talks with Rahmon. During the talks, the two sides agreed to further strengthen relations in diverse areas such as trade, energy, connectivity, defence, health, education and culture.
