KARACHI: Despite K-Electric announcing that there would be no load-shedding during the three days of Eidul Fitr, many localities in Karachi faced electricity outages forcing them to have their festivities in the dark. It is unfortunate that a happy occasion such as Eid becomes marred by power cuts. Those without the means to own generators or UPS are left to fend for themselves.
Many social media users also took to Twitter to call out the electricity providing company but K-E remained unmoved. If the state is unable to put the company on track, the least it could do is facilitate the needy by providing them free-of-charge or on easy instalments generators, UPS or solar power panels.
