TURBAT: It is painful to note that a woman gave birth to a child on a hospital ground in Khanpur District. According to a report in this paper a pregnant woman, resident of Laal Garh, was brought to the hospital for delivery at the hospital. But the medical staff allegedly refused to admit her for reasons unknown and so the woman had to deliver her child on the ground of the hospital under the hot sun in the scorching heat.
In fact, it is not the first time such an incident had occurred. Previously too reports of women hailing from less-affluent backgrounds being refused medical care that resulted in them having to deliver their child on the street have made rounds.
In view of this, I urge the authorities concerned to take appropriate measures against the said hospital so that others are discouraged from turning away a pregnant woman.
