The Multan Waste Management Company (MWMC) assigned duties to 1,400 sanitary staff regarding cleanliness in the city during Eidul Fitr by cancelling Eid holidays. MWMC Manager Operations Usman Khursheed said that sanitary staff will remain present on Eid holidays. The staff will work in two shifts to clean the roads with the help of machinery. In addition to this, water and white powder will be sprinkled along the road. Staff will also collect waste door-to-door on the first two days of Eid, while on the third day they will be given an off. We will try our level best to ensure a pleasant environment for citizens during the holidays, he emphasised.
