KARACHI:

Pakistan’s football coach Tariq Lutfi admitted that the series with India cannot compensate for the postponement of the Palestine matches since the team needed practice before their World Cup qualifiers with Bangladesh on June 29 and July 3.

Although, the final dates of the tour have not been announced, Lutfi said that the team is due to leave for London on July 5, two days after the second qualifier.

“The India-Pakistan series is not as important to me because there’s no comparison between the two teams,” Lutfi told The Express Tribune. “India are way better. However, Palestine are just a few places above us in the Fifa rankings and we could’ve learnt a lot before the qualifiers.”
