Politics for power

Letter June 12, 2018
This year we, the voters, should take them to task and refuse to vote for such parties

KARACHI: Now that the general elections are about to take place in less than 60 days, political parties are not only busy giving tickets to electables but have also been involved in beautifying the areas that they were once voted from five years ago.

The very constituencies that were not paid heed to once the parties had been elected to power are now being planted, painted and cleaned to impress the vote bank to vote for the parties once again. Such an attitude is not new but definitely goes on to prove that political parties care nothing more than coming into power and reaping the benefits of this newfound power.

This year we, the voters, should take them to task and refuse to vote for such parties — even if it means voting for no one at all and ticking that ‘none of the above’ option.
