Judiciary and governance

The situation is possibly the reason why the judiciary as a state institution has an upper hand

LAHORE: The judiciary has taken it upon itself to take on the government over its negligence and poor governance. Matters which fall under the domain of governments and the local authorities are now being tackled by the judiciary. From Metro train to the flooded New Islamabad International Airport, for poor planning and execution government officers get summoned to courts every other day. The situation is possibly the reason why the judiciary as a state institution has an upper hand over the government and is looked upon more trustfully by the public.

To regain the lost trust of people, governments here need to mend their ways.
