LAHORE: Two female fawns were born at the Lahore Zoo on Sunday, bringing the grand total to a whopping 11. Born a few days shy of Eid, the new born fawns have added to the number of fallow deer at the zoo.

The fallow deer closely resembles a spotted deer. Its coat also bears patches of white, however its horns are significantly larger than other deer. Fallow deer are usually found in Europe. They live for around 14 to 16 years.

Despite the fact that fallow deer are not found in the wild in Pakistan, several zoos are breeding the creatures in captivity.
