Irked by party leadership allotting a ticket to Taimur Jhagra, workers belonging to NA-30, PK-73 and PK-74 burnt tyres and blocked Bab-e-Peshawar road. The demonstrators chanting slogans against former chief minister Pervez Khattak, Shah Farman and Arbab Shehzad for supporting Arbab Zakar.
The workers urged for the provincial seat, PK-73, to be contested by someone from residing in the area. They said Jhagra should be contesting elections from his home constituency.

As the PTI’s ticket distribution raised many eyebrows, Khattak is contesting on both national and provincial assembly seats. Tickets have also been awarded to his nephew and son-in-law Imran Khattak to contest election from NA-26.
Business tycoon Jahangir Khan Tareen was disqualified by the Supreme Court, but his son Ali Tareen is likely to be awarded a ticket for NA-172 Lodhran.
