BAHWALPUR: The Senate Standing Committee on SAFRON Friday unanimously recommended to the federal government to restore the provincial status of Bahawalpur besides directing the concerned officials to provide details to the committee, including all documents signed between Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and Nawab of Bahawalpur Nawab Mohammed Sadiq IV. The committee met under the chairmanship of Hafiz Abdur Rashid and was attended by Maulana Mohammed Khan Shirani, Hasil Khan Bazenjo, Prof Ibrahim Khan, Abdul Ghaffar Qureshi while the Nawab of Bahawalpur Salahuddin Abbasi and Senator Mohammad Ali Durrani were present on special invitation.
